OUR TEAM

Monument Church believes in the plurality of elders (or pastors) as modeled by the early church in the book of Acts. Practically, this means we lead as one team, make decisions as one team, and serve in various capacities as one team along with our wives who play a vital role in the leadership of the church.

ELDERS & WIVES

Erik & Celeste Santiago

We love the church.  It's God's "Plan A" to redeem and restore the world.  From the moment we got married 22 years ago, we have been unified around a call to love people and shepherd the flock of God. This call has led us all over the country…New York, LA and now DC, but we are both originally from the Midwest.  So, we’ve covered some ground in the last two decades, but one thing that has not changed is our desire to serve the body of Christ.  Our background is in media, music and design and we love to see God speak through creativity and beauty.   We have three amazing kids - two daughters and a son.  We enjoy travel, food, live performances (dance, theatre, music, comedy, you name it!) and people.  We are passionate about cultivating a church where people can be who God created them to be and help them find their place in His kingdom.

Jim & Mary Wilson

Mary & I have known each other since elementary school in Gaithersburg, and since then have gotten married, had 4 kids and got a dog. As a marketplace elder, I split my time between a calling to lead a business, doing part time ministry, and trying not to forget a kid at sports practice. Mary works full time for a local private school and tag teams the “Uber Kids” service we provide to our children. If not at sports events, you will find our family spending time with extended family or neighbors, skiing/snowboarding, playing music, or going on hikes.

Travis & Jonalee Earles

Travis and I have lived in Montgomery County for over 30 years. Married since 1999, we have raised four mostly grown-up children (Ellie, Tim, Josiah, and Mary) through multiple adventures, homeschooling, camping road trips, and sports (soccer, baseball, cross country, volleyball). Travis has built a career managing emerging technology innovation for both public and private sectors, while I run my own business as a professional photographer. We are excited to be part of Monument Church and can't wait to see all that God continues to work in our church family in the days ahead.

Peter & Shirly Giglio

Sherly and I were both born and raised in New Jersey however have lived in Maryland for the last 34 years. We have been married for 44 years and have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. We both come from very large families, having a combined total of 27 siblings. Some of the things we like doing together are going swing and salsa dancing and going to local live music venues to listen to music and meet people from our community. We have found this to be a great way to make friends, develop close relationships and have good conversations about who Jesus is and what he means to us. Our hope for Monument Church is that we would truly be a light in the darkness by reaching into our communities with love, compassion and the life changing message of the gospel.
