Erik & Celeste Santiago

Erik and Celeste love the church and believe it is God’s “Plan A” to redeem and restore the world. Since the beginning of their marriage, they have shared a calling to love people and shepherd God’s flock.

Originally from the Midwest, their journey has taken them through New York, Los Angeles, and now the DC area. Throughout those moves, their desire to serve the body of Christ has remained constant. With backgrounds in media, music, and design, they love seeing God speak through creativity and beauty.

Erik and Celeste have three children—two daughters and a son—and enjoy travel, good food, live performances, and spending time with people. They are passionate about cultivating a church where people can become who God created them to be and discover their place in His kingdom.

Jim & Mary Wilson

Jim and Mary have known each other since elementary school in Gaithersburg. Today, they share life with their four children and two dogs, balancing work, ministry, and the busy rhythm of family life.

Jim works full time at a tech company and serves as a marketplace elder at Monument. Mary works full time at a local private school, and together they keep the family’s unofficial “Uber Kids” service running—with plenty of trips to sports practices and games.

Away from the sidelines, they enjoy spending time with extended family and neighbors, skiing and snowboarding, playing music, and hiking.

Patrick & Heather Cook

Born and raised in Hawaii, Patrick had a powerful encounter with the Lord as a teenager that led him to deepen his faith and move to Damascus to live with his brother. There, he met and married Heather. After many years away, returning to the Damascus community has felt like coming full circle.

Patrick works full time at a tech company and serves as an elder at Monument. Heather runs a interior design business and together they have two grown, married children and five grandchildren.

Serving the church has long been an important part of their lives. They are grateful for the call to pastoral ministry and the opportunity to serve the Monument church family.

Travis & Jonalee Earles

Travis and Jonalee are longtime Montgomery County residents. Together, they have raised four children—Ellie, Tim, Josiah, and Mary—with a family life full of homeschooling, camping road trips, and sports, including soccer, baseball, cross country, and volleyball.

Travis has built a career managing emerging technology innovation in the public and private sectors, while Jonalee runs her own professional photography business.

They love being part of Monument Church and look forward to seeing all that God continues to do in and through their church family.

Peter & Shirly Giglio

Peter and Sherly were both born and raised in New Jersey and have made Maryland their home. They have three children and four grandchildren, and both come from large families—with a remarkable 27 siblings between them.

They enjoy swing and salsa dancing and visiting local live music venues. These shared interests have become opportunities to meet people, build friendships, and have meaningful conversations about Jesus and what He means to them.

Their hope for Monument Church is that it will be a light in the darkness, reaching into the surrounding communities with love, compassion, and the life-changing message of the gospel.

Michael & Esolé Duff

Michael and Esolé have three boys—Malachi, Levi, and Noah. Their journey has taken them from Johannesburg, South Africa, to Newcastle in the UK, and now to Maryland, guided by a shared desire to see people encounter the hope and freedom found in Jesus.

They served on an eldership team in Johannesburg before moving to Newcastle, where they replanted and led a church for 13 years. They are excited to serve alongside the Monument church family in Maryland.

Michael and Esolé love opening their home, sharing meals, welcoming people in, and spending time outdoors with their boys. Their greatest joy is seeing lives transformed by the gospel as people discover the grace and love of Jesus.
